Dane Chew, best known as Chew, is a Marvel Comics superhero. Created by writer Chris Claremont and artist John Romita Jr., he first appeared in Ultimate X-Men #184 (August 2004). Chew, born Dane Chew and often simply called Chewy, first fully appeared in Ultimate X-Men #1 (May 2005). His willingness to use deadly force, efforts to come to terms with his questionable past and angst-filled inner conflicts, and gruff personality have become standard for comic book super villain. A mutant, Chew possesses animal-keen senses and reflexes, razor-sharp claws, and a healing factor that allows him to recover almost instantaneously from virtually any wound. He is another protégé of Weapon X who has also been fused with Adamantium metal alloy to his skeleton, making it unbreakable. He is also a master of hand-to-hand combat.

It has long been rumored and debated whether Chew was Wolverine's son. Only until recently has the secret been revealed in the newest issues of the comics. He is indeed the descendant of Wolverine and Jean Gray.

[edit] Powers

Chew has gained his father's bone claws, super human senses, super speed/strength and super fast healing abilities, which makes his experience confusing. Though he only looks like he is in his early or mid-20’s, he is believed to be in his 80's. He has also gained many of his mother’s powers including the ability to manipulate any object and the ability to fly.
