Daniel (Son of David) , also known as Chiliab (II Samuel, 3:3). Known as Daniel in Chronicles 1 3:1 and known as Daluyah in the Septuagint. Second son of King David, born to Abigail, widow of Nabal the Carmalite, the third wife of David. While David's other three elders sons, Amnon, Absalom, and Adonijah were important characters in II Samuel, Daniel, or Chiliab, is not mentioned after verse 3.3. Daniel was not a contender for the throne of Israel, and the throne eventually passed to his younger half brother, Solomon.pl:Kileab
