Dantzig

Dantzig is an older variant of Danzig (now the city of Gdańsk).
It is the surname of several people, including:
- George Dantzig, American mathematician who introduced the simplex algorithm
- Tobias Dantzig, father of George Dantzig and Russian mathematician
- David van Dantzig, Dutch mathematician
- Rudi van Dantzig, author of Voor een verloren soldaat (For a Lost Soldier)
- Jol Dantzig, luthier guitar designer and founder of Hamer Guitar company
