Decitex or dtex is one unit of measure for the linear mass density of fibers. Decitex is defined as the mass in grams per 10000 meters of fiber.

The decitex measure is similar to denier, except the unit length is 10000 meters, rather than 9000 meters in denier. "Decitex" is more likely to be used in Canada and Europe, while "denier" remains more common in the United States.

The term is used in fiber manufacture, carpet manufacture
