Defibtech, LLC is a manufacturer of automated external defibrillators (AEDs). The company designs and manufactures the "award-winning," FDA 510(k) approved, Lifelineā„¢ and ReviveRā„¢ brands of defibrillators and related accessories. The defibrillators are the same device, but marketed through different means. In particular, the ReviveR AED is sold through the service business Cintas. Its products are sold exclusively through a network of distribution partners in the United States and around the world. Defibtech, founded in 1999, is headquartered in Guilford, Connecticut, and manufactures all of its defibrillators in the USA in a state-of-the-art ISO-9002 certified facility.

On its website defibtech brags about the following: Defibtech has won numerous design awards for the Lifeline AED, including the Industrial Design Excellence Award and the Medical Design Excellence Award. Defibtech has also won various business awards including the American Business Award for Best Overall Company and the Frost and Sullivan "Best Bang for the Buck Award". Defibtech AEDs have been chosen for prestigious and large-scale deployments including the 2006 Winter Olympics, YMCAs nationwide, Whole Foods and Publix Supermarkets and numerous state contracts.


Defibtech's founders (both graduates of Yale University) have a great deal of medical device design experience and have founded other high-tech companies.

Defibtech's proximity to New Haven, CT coupled with the company's Ivy League roots have led to collaborations with faculty from the Engineering departments and the School of Medicine at Yale University.
