| Demodex folliculorum |
Demodex folliculorum is a small species of demodex mite that usually lives harmlessly in human hair follicles, especially those of the facial region, and the eyelashes, as well as external ear channels. Demodex are harmless and don't transmit diseases, but large numbers of demodex mites may cause itching and skin disorders, referred to as Demodicosis.
