Demos From The Basement is an independently released CD by The Used. When the CD was released the band was called "Used" not The Used. The CD didn't have a name until a fan titled it "Demos From The Basement" and the name stuck and that is what it is known as today.[citation needed] This album was rumored to have been recorded in ex-drummer Branden Steineckert's basement however it was recorded at a local studio in Utah.[citation needed] It contains 10 demo tracks that differ slighty from the songs on their studio CDs.[citation needed] It was released in June of 2001 which is only 6 months after The Used became an offical band.[citation needed] There were only 200 copies made and the CD was handed out for free by The Used at local shows back in the day.[citation needed] It is now very hard to obtain a copy of this CD.[1]
