Diogenes

Diogenes (Διογένης) is a Greek name shared by several important historical figures:
- Diogenes of Sinope (412-323 BCE), better known as Diogenes the Cynic or simply Diogenes
- Diogenes Apolloniates (c. 460 BCE), philosopher
- Diogenes the Stoic (Diogenes of Seleukia) (c. 150 BCE)
- Diogenes Laertius (between 200-500 CE), historian
- Diogenes of Oenoanda (2nd Century CE), Epicurean
- Diogenes of Judea (fl. c. 100-76 BCE), general and advisor for Hasmonean king Alexander Jannaeus.
- Diogenes of Babylon, Greek philosopher.
- Diogenes, duke of Syrmia (11th century).
