Dir or dir may refer to:
- Dir (clan), one the four major Somali clans.
- A district located in Malakand Division, North-West Frontier Province, Pakistan. In recent years, it has been split into two districts, Upper Dir, with its headquarters in Dir city, and Lower Dir, with its headquarters in Timargara.
- In computer software:
- an abbreviation for directory
- dir (DOS Command), an operating system command
- directory (OpenVMS command), an operating system command
- DIR ("Doing it right"), a holistic approach to scuba diving emphasising teamwork and simple, streamlined equipment.
- DIR - Digital Instrumentation Recorder, a magnetic tape format by Sony.
