Earl Holding

Robert Earl Holding (born 1927) is the owner of Sinclair Oil, Little America Hotels, and two ski resorts: Sun Valley in central Idaho, and Snowbasin near Ogden, Utah.
R. Earl Holding was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah and earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Utah. His parents were apartment caretakers.
Holding also owns 400,000 acres of working cattle ranch land in northern Wyoming and southern Montana.
