"Electrical Storm" was the first and only single from U2's second compilation album, The Best of 1990-2000, and one of the two new songs recorded for that album (the other one being "The Hands That Built America"). The music video for the song prominently features drummer Larry Mullen, Jr., as well as actress Samantha Morton. The song is about two lovers who are fighting and the tension between them. It relates this to a looming storm. Interestingly, the William Orbit Mix of the song was the version of the song on the Best of 1990-2000 CD, and the standard version of the song was only available on the extra B-Sides disc.
Despite it being a successful single, U2 has never performed the song live.
