From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Elipsos is a joint venture between the French national railroad, SNCF, and the Spanish national railroad, RENFE. It was created in 2001 to handle the logistics of Trenhotel railway services between Spain and France, Switzerland, and Italy.
Trains managed by Elipsos:
- Francisco de Goya (Madrid-Paris)
- Joan Miró (Barcelona-Paris)
- Pau Casals (Barcelona-Zurich)
- Salvador Dalí (Barcelona-Milan)
The Elipsos bed carriages are operated by Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-Lits and by the different national railway companies. In France the train is pulled by an SNCF locomcotive, in Italy by a Trenitalia one, in Spain by a RENFE one and in Switzerland by an SBB CFF FFS one.
