European Democrat Union

The European Democrat Union is the European wing of the International Democrat Union. It contains both Christian Democrat and Conservative political parties.

Members include:

Many IDU/EDU members are also members of the Christian Democrat and People's Parties International and its European wing, the European People's Party (EPP). Some of the more conservative members, most notably the British Conservative Party, are not. For matters pertaining to the European Parliament these EDU members presently sit in a subgroup known as the European Democrats.
