Foodshake
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A Foodshake is a variant of a milkshake, with ingredients added as nutritional supplements and flavorings. A foodshake is made with various sources of fat, protein and carbohydrates. If used as a supplement after exercise, it should be high in proteins to have building blocks for muscle. The shake should also be high in quick carbohydrates, like sugar, for energy and to boost levels of insulin, hGH and other things important for protein synthesis. A foodshake for replacing a meal should include less quick carbohydrates. Meal replacement shakes should have a higher level of fat if one is trying to bulk up, and less to no fat if one is trying to lose weight.
