Four-tensor
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Four-tensor is a frequent abbreviation for a tensor in a four-dimensional spacetime.
In order to avoid notational and conceptual confusion, it is common to call the 4-dimensional energy-momentum tensor <math>p^{\mu}</math> (<math>\mu = 0,1,2,3</math>) the 4-momentum of an object so as to not be confused with the spacial 3-momentum <math>\mathbf{p}</math>.
