Franz Melde

Franz Melde was a German physicist (born March 11 1832 - died March 17 1901). Melde's experiment demonstrates standing waves on a string. Melde's experiment is used to measure the pattern of a standing wave, to measure the speed of transverse wave, and to determine the effect of tension to transverse wave in a string.
