Freedom Class

Freedom Class is a class of cruise ships for Royal Caribbean International. The lead ship of the class, Freedom of the Seas dethrones the RMS Queen Mary 2 as the largest passenger ship in the world.

Freedom of the Seas left Aker Finnyards shipyard in Turku, Finland on April 24, 2006. The second ship of the class, Liberty of the Seas is currently under construction at Aker Finnyards in Turku, Finland, to be launched on May 17, 2007. There is also a third ship, Independence of the Seas in 2008.

New features of the Freedom Class include the FlowRider surf park, cantilevered whirlpools, an ice-skating rink, a full-size boxing ring, and the H20 Zone waterpark.
