Freedom Pass
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Freedom Pass is a scheme, and card issued by that scheme, to provide free travel to residents of Greater London who are over 60 or have a disability.
The card itself is a contactless smartcard of the same design and specifications as the Oyster Card. The card provides free travel on all London Underground, Bus, Tram, National Rail and Docklands Light Railway services in the Greater London area and on a limited number of services outside this area. The scheme is funded by the London boroughs and managed by the Association of London Government.
Freedom Passes issued because of disability can be used at any time. Passes issued to those over 60 cannot be used between 04.30-09.00 with the restriction extended to 09:30 on most National Rail routes.
