French West Indies

The term French West Indies (see also Antilles françaises) refers to the two French overseas departments of Guadeloupe and Martinique. These Caribbean Départements d’Outre Mer include the Guadeloupe dependencies of French St. Martin, Saint-Barthélemy, Les Saintes, Marie-Galante and La Désirade.
