Frosty Jack Cider
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Frosty Jack Cider is a white cider produced by the Aston Manor Brewery of Birmingham, England. It is seen, along with its main rival White Lightning, to be mainly drunk by underage drinkers due to its low cost (c.£3 for a 3 litre bottle) and potent ABV, weighing in at 7.5%. That said, Frosty Jack's is very popular with students, a link which its producers have been happy to support through their sponsorship of various university sports teams.
Unlike most other white ciders, Frosty Jack's tastes less of chemicals and more of apples, rendering it a much more palatable proposition, especially if mixed with blackcurrant. This, combined with a television advertising campaign vastly sets it apart from most of its peers, as does on bottle promotions such as "Win a trip to New York" run by the Brewery c. November 2005.
In addition to the drink's availability in large 3 litre bottles, it is also available in 1 litre and 2 litre bottles, as well as 500ml cans.
Frosty Jack's popularity with students is unquestioned, with the popular "Frosty Jack's Song" being sung on touchlines at university sports matches up and down the British Isles.
