GE Money

GE Money is the direct-to-consumer financial services arm of General Electric, one of the largest companies in the world. Formerly known as GE Consumer Finance, the company has undergone a rigorous rebranding campaign to advertise the GE Money brand globally. Today, GE Money has a presence in 50 countries, providing products such as credit cards, personal loans, mortgages and motor solutions to over 118 customers worldwide.

In the United States, GE Money is one of the largest issuers of private label (store) credit cards — prominent retail partnerships include Wal-Mart, J.C. Penney, Gap, Inc., Meijer, and Dillard's to name a few. Other products available in this market include GE Money Savings and the GE Money Mastercard.

In Australia, the GE Money brand encompasses the GE Consumer Finance and GE Capital Finance businesses. The company provides car, boat, personal and consolidation loans, credit cards, mortgages and insurance.
At the end of 2002 to beginning of 2003 GE purchased the AGC name which is now know as the GE Creditline product.
GE Capital Finance controls most credit cards and loans and has a strategic partnership with Coles Myer to operate the Coles Myer Source MasterCard. GE Consumer Finance governs the GE Creditline, GO Mastercard and BuyersEdge cards which all offer interest free terms at participating retailers.
In 2004, GE Capital Finance purchased the Wizard Home Loans business. Because of the success of the Wizard brand, it is the only business that will not be rebranded as "GE Money". GE Money Australia
