The word Garland (from Old French gerland, in French guirlande) means "wreath of flowers".
- Garland may also refer to a decoration.
- In some forms of coalminers' jargon, a garland is a metal gutter placed round a mine shaft on the inside, to catch water running down inside the shaft and run it into a drainpipe.
- Garland is a combat motorcycle used by the protagonist Shogo Yahagi in the anime Megazone 23.
- Garland is the main antagonist in the games Final Fantasy I, Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls, and Final Fantasy IX.
- In 8-Bit Theater, a loose parody of Final Fantasy I, Garland was the Light Warriors' first major opponent.
