Geertruidenberg (pronunciation (help·info)) is a municipality and a city in the southern Netherlands. The city is named after Saint Gertrude of Nivelles, meaning literally 'Gertrude's mountain'.

Geertruidenberg received city rights in 1213. Today it's part of the province of Noord Brabant, but Geertruidenberg used to be part of the county of Holland. Geertruidenberg is the oldest city of Holland as it was the first to receive such rights. It's a common mistake that it's the oldest city of The Netherlands, as Holland is currently used as another name for the country, but with Holland, the former county's meant.
