Geesteren () is a town in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It is a part of the municipality of Tubbergen, and lies about 9 km northeast of Almelo.
In 2001, the town of Geesteren had 2080 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.50 km², and contained 737 residences.<ref name="CBS">Statistics Netherlands (CBS), Bevolkingskernen in Nederland 2001. (Statistics are for the continuous built-up area).</ref> The statistical area "Geesteren", which also can include the peripheral parts of the village, as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 4230.<ref name="CBS2">Statistics Netherlands (CBS), Statline: Kerncijfers wijken en buurten 2003-2005.
