Genadendal is a town in the Western Cape province of South Africa.

Genadendal is approximately an hour and a half drive east of Cape Town in the Riviersonderend mountains.

Genadendal was the first missionary in southern Africa. It followed the Moravian religion. The German missionaire Georg Schmidt went there in 1737. Genadendal was completed in April 31738. In October 10, 1995, Nelson Mandela visited the missionary in Genadendal.
