The Gillette Sensor is a safety razor released by The Gillette Company in 1990. It was the first razor to have spring-loaded blades. Gillette claims that the blades recede into the cartridge head when they make contact with skin. They claim that this helps to prevent cuts and also allows for a closer shave. Similar razors include the Sensor Excel, the Sensor for Women, and the Sensor Excel for Women.
