Glossopteridales

Glossopteridales is an extinct order of plants belonging to Pteridospermatophyta, or Seed Ferns. They arose during the Permian on the southern continent of Gondwana, but dwindled to extinction by the end of the Triassic period. The best known genus is Glossopteris.
