GoodNites
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Goodnites (Drynites in some countries) are a way of managing bedwetting. Goodnites are absorbent disposable underpants, manufactured by Kimberly Clark (makers of Huggies diapers and Depend Briefs) made primarily for children and teens who still wet the bed at night. They can also be used for daytime protection as well.
Goodnites pull-up and off like underwear, so they are convenient for children to wear every night even if they only sleepwet occasionally. They have the absorbency and construction of a diaper, and the appearance and feel of underwear. They are not recommended for children who cannot feel the need to urinate or for fecal incontinence.
The most recent design of Goodnites for Girls feature Pixie Fairies. This design was released in 2006. Previously they have featured Butteflies (released in 2005) and Flowers (released in 2004). GoodNites for girls are most absorbent in the middle.
The most recent design of Goodnites for Boys features Race Cars. This design was released in 2006. Previously they have featured ATVs (released in 2005) and BMX Bicycles (released in 2004). GoodNites for boys are most absorbent in the front.
Kimberly Clark currently markets 2 types, each available in 2 sizes: Small/Medium (40-85lbs) and Large/XL (80-125lbs).
[edit] Product History
Prior to 2004, Goodnites were unisex, plain white garments with only a faux tag printed at the back of the pant.
The original goodnites hit the national market sometime after 1994. They were slightly larger, longer, bulkier, and more absorbent than later models. These were plain white, with a faux tag printed at the rear, to help kids know which way to put them on. These originally came in 2 sizes: Medium (45-65lbs) and Large (65-85lbs). In 1999, they introduced a new size, XL (85lbs-125lbs and up).
In 2001, Kimberly Clark redesigned the Goodnites slightly, and introduced what is known as the Trim Fit Goodnite. They also introduced the short lived Small size (30-45 pounds).
In September 2006, Kimberly Clark introduced the new Goodnites with Odor Control.
