Green-yellow is a pure chroma and it is between the color traditionally called chartreuse (lime) and the the web color chartreuse on the color wheel.

- Green-yellow is at the direct middle of the light spectrum visible to the human eye, and as such it is the colour that is most eye catching to humans. For this reason many emergency vehicles and uniforms exhibit green-yellow.
