Green-yellow is a mixture of the colours green and yellow--it is the colour one-third of the way between green and yellow (closer to yellow than to green) on the colour wheel. The name of the color means greenish-yellow. It is one of the colors of the color wheel in the Munsell color system. Green-yellow is a color that is two-thirds yellow and one-third green.

Green-yellow is a pure chroma and it is between the color traditionally called chartreuse (lime) and the the web color chartreuse on the color wheel.

  • Green-yellow is at the direct middle of the light spectrum visible to the human eye, and as such it is the colour that is most eye catching to humans. For this reason many emergency vehicles and uniforms exhibit green-yellow.
