Green bean casserole

Green bean casserole was invented in 1955 by the Campbell Soup Company test kitchen under the leadership of Dorcas Reilly. It has since become a Thanksgiving favorite in the United States.
It contains green beans, cream of mushroom soup and french fried onions. The recipe may also call for pepper and soy sauce.
