GunBound (Korean:건바운드, full name – GunBound Revolution for North American players, GunBound World Champion for International players, and formerly GunBound: Thor's Hammer) is an online-only computer game developed in South Korea by Softnyx. GunBound Revolution is hosted by Californian based game portal ijji.

[edit] Gameplay

GunBound is a turn-based artillery game similar to the popular game "Pocket Tanks" where you shoot shells at different tanks and also the genre defining Scorched Earth (IBM PC platform). Artillery turn-based games are two-dimensional ballistics-simulation games. In GunBound, players are assigned to opposing teams that take turns firing at each other with their "mobiles". Each mobile has three unique weapons labeled "1", "2" and "SS" for Special Shot. Shots vary between area of effect, aerial behavior, turn delay, and general type (such as projectiles and laser guides).

GunBound Revolution is a version of GunBound made specifically for North America. Any players of the previous GunBound World Champion version must log in once to transfer their account to the ijji servers. This version of GunBound, developed by Softnyx, runs on these new servers. Instead of cash, GunBound Revolution employs the new "ijji coins". Gameplay is not significantly different from the "World Champion" version of GunBound.
