A Guz is a unit of measurement of length used in the Middle East. It is a regionally variable measurement, corresponding culturally to the yard. One Guz in different regions is:

  • Indian Subcontinent (Also called a gudge)
  • In Nepal, 1 Guz is 1 yard
  • In Persia (Also called gueza or zer) The guz was defined as 2 cubits
    • 41 inches is a common guz
    • the government standard guz is 36.5 inches
    • the Retail trade Standard is 25 Inches
  • In Arabia it varies between 27 and 37 inches
