Hakim al-Nishaburi

Abu Abd-Allah Muhammad ibn Abd-Allah al-Hakim al-Nishaburi (d. 405/1014) or (d. 403 AH <ref>http://www.islamtoday.net//english/show_detail_section.cfm?q_id=839&main_cat_id=11</ref>) was a Sunni scholar and the leading traditionist of his age, reaching the rank of imam al­-muhaddithin.

Al-Haakim started writing his 'Mustadrak' in the year 393H, i.e. when he was 72 years old.
