Harry B. Chase

Harry Chase (born November 22, 1947, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) is a Canadian politician. He is a provincial MLA as a member of the Alberta Liberal Party, and has represented the riding of Calgary Varsity, a typical conservative stronghold previously held by Murray Smith, since November, 2004.

Chase earned his Bachelor of Education from the University of Calgary in 1971. He served as a teacher for 34 years.

Prior to his success in the 2004 provincial election, he was also the Calgary chair of Friends of Medicare.

He now serves as the opposition Infrastructure critic in the Alberta legislature.

As well he has a political rivalry with Barry Chase a member of the Alberta Alliance Party.
