Herøy is a municipality in the county of Møre og Romsdal, Norway. Its main city is Fosnavåg, located on the island of Bergsøy. Herøy consists of eight islands, among them Runde, notable for its large seabird colonies and Skorpa, famous for its role as a station for the Shetland bus.
The Herøyfjord bisects Herøy municipality. A fishing station, Flåvær is located on a group of islets and skerries in the Herøyfjord, It includes the islets Flåvær, Husholmen, Torvholmen and Varholmen<ref>Flåvær light house is located on Varholmen.</ref>.

The coat-of-arms is from modern times (1987). It shows two stems. (To represent the Kvalsund boats from the 7th century found in the municipality.)
