High Incident was a police-drama series produced by the ABC network. It first aired on March 4 1996. Although it received good reviews, the show never got a real chance as it was continually shuffled from one time slot to another. It was cancelled after the end of its second season, in May of 1997, after losing the ratings war against NBC's Friends in the Thursday evening 8 p.m. timeslot. A total of thirty two episodes were shot. The show was created by Steven Spielberg (an admirer of the 70's NBC / Universal series Adam-12), Michael Pavone, Eric Bogosian and Dave Alan Johnson. The series featured early starring work by Cole Hauser and Lisa Vidal.

High Incident, an ensemble show, focused on the everyday life stories of multiple patrol officers in the fictional Los Angeles County neighborhood of El Camino. For fans it ranks among the most realistic depictions of suburban police officers on television.
