Hirosaki, Aomori

Hirosaki (弘前市; -shi) is a city located in Aomori Prefecture in the Tohoku region of Japan.
As of 2005, the city has an estimated population of 189,358 and a density of 362 persons per km². The total area is 523.60 km².
Hirosaki Castle, a famous landmark, is located in the city.

- The city was founded on April 1, 1889.
- On February 27, 2006 the town of Iwaki and the village of Souma from Nakatsugaru District merged into the city of Hirosaki.
