History of South Asia

The term South Asia usually refers to the political entities of the geographical region now known as the Indian subcontinent (formerly known as India) - the Republic of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and the island nations of Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
