Hybrid circuit

An encapsulated hybrid circuit on a printed circuit board. An electronic circuit consisting of several different levels of components; printed circuits, semiconductors, resistors, capacitors etc., often in miniature size. A hybrid circuit is often encapsulated in epoxy.

In the early days of transistors, the term was also used to describe a circuit where both transistors and vacuum tubes were used simultaneously.
