Hydrohalogenation

Hydrohalogenation is the electrophilic addition of acids like hydrogen chloride or hydrogen bromide to alkenes to yield the corresponding haloalkanes.
- CH3-CH=CH2 + HBr → CH3-CHBr-CH3
