Idaho (band)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Idaho is a slowcore band formed in 1991 in California. Its members are Jeff Martin, Dan Seta, Terry Borden, John Berry, and Mark Lewis. They have released six albums on labels such as Caroline Records.
Idaho is a band from Los Angeles, traditionally categorized as slow-core, that has released ten full-length albums as well as three EPs dating back to 1993. Idaho is primarily the brainchild of singer-songwriter Jeff Martin, who has performed some of Idaho's albums almost entirely on his own and others with an extended band. To this day, he remains the band's sole songwriter and principal musician. He is versatile at both the piano and four-string guitar, a staple on most Idaho albums.
Idaho's albums contain song styles ranging from guitar-driven garage rock to ambient noise rock. His latest release, The Lone Gunman, often eschews the structure of traditional songs for more instrumental experimentalism.
