Inferential statistics

Inferential statistics or statistical induction comprises the use of statistics to make inferences concerning some unknown aspect (usually a parameter) of a population. It is distinguished from descriptive statistics.
Two schools of inferential statistics are frequency probability, and Bayesian inference.
