International Tennis Hall of Fame

The International Tennis Hall of Fame is a not-for-profit tennis museum at the Newport Casino in Newport, Rhode Island, USA. It maintains a Hall of Fame for prominent personalities and players from the tennis world. It was founded in 1954 by James Van Alen and is now the largest tennis museum in the world. The museum contains artifacts and memorabilia as well as video and audio exhibits highlighting the history of the sport from its origins to the modern era. The first Hall of Fame members were inducted in 1955 and as of 2006 there are 194 inductees, from 18 countries.
