Iroquois Nationals

The Iroquois Nationals are a lacrosse team consisting of members of the Six Nations of the Iroquois Confederacy.<ref name="Fryling">Kevin Fryling (2006-07-27). It is the only Native American team sanctioned to compete in any sport internationally.<ref name="Fryling"/>

In 2006, the Iroquois Nationals Lacrosse Program signed a partnership with Nike, Inc. in which Nike will provide the Nationals with Nike-brand uniforms, clothing, footwear, and other equipment, and team members will assist in the research and development of sustainable sportswear that uses non-toxic dyes and biodegradable organic cotton.<ref name="Fryling"/><ref name="Nike press release">Nikebiz.com (2006-05-04). The Iroquois Nationals began competing in the World Lacrosse Championship in 1998.

  • 2002 - 4th
  • 2006 - 4th

They have also been competing in the World Indoor Lacrosse Championship since the first in 2003.
