Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash" is a comic and novelty store owned and operated by filmmaker Kevin Smith. Merchandise includes comic books, comic-related merchandise, and View Askew film-related items (i.e. apparel, action figures, posters, etc.). Currently, the store can be found in two U.S. locations: its flagship store is on Broad Street in Red Bank, New Jersey (referred to as the "East Coast Stash") and a newer location can be found in the Westwood section of Los Angeles, California (the "West Coast Stash"), Smith's current home.

[edit] In the Movies
The Stash has been a notable place for owner Kevin Smith to shoot some of his View Askew films. It first appeared in a deleted scene from Chasing Amy as Steve-Dave and Walt's comic book store. It saw more prominence in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back as Brodie's Secret Stash, a comic store owned by Mallrats character Brodie Bruce (Jason Lee).
Additionally, many props from Smith's movies have made their way to both Stash locations (most notably the "Buddy Christ" statue from Dogma and the "Bluntman and Chronic" props from Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back). Though not for sale, visitors nevertheless are permitted to snap photographs of the memorabilia.
[edit] Examples of Merchandise
There are several rare forms of merchandise sold at Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash (though these are also available at many other retailers).

[edit] Kevin Smith InAction figures
Image:Smithinaf.jpg Kevin Smith has been featured several times as an inaction figure. His look is the same; large appearance, spiked hair, glasses, wearing a jersey and a pair of shorts. With each figure, the jersey changes to match the city's sport's team.
Wizard World Los Angeles (with Los Angeles Lakers jersey)
Comic-Con San Diego (with San Diego Chargers jersey)
Wizard World Chicago ((with Chicago White Sox jersey))
Wizard World Boston (with Boston Red Sox jersey)
East Coast Stash (Red Bank) (with New Jersey Devils jersey)
West Coast Stash (Westwood) (with UCLA Bruins jersey)
Rare Collectible Variant (Online Red, White, and Green Jersey w/ "Lunchbox" as city name on back)
There is also a very rare "Catch and Release" figure that very few people have seen that was given to a crew working on one of the View Askew films.
On every Kevin Smith Exclusive 2005 figure, there is a typo that will never be fixed according to Kevin. The description on the back of the box confuses the words 'breath' and 'breathe.'
