Je Souhaite (French for "I Wish") is a seventh season The X-Files episode, which centers around a mischievous Djinn, or genie, who takes advantage of the poorly worded wishes that people want fulfilled, upor her own wish (to live a long life, and to wield great power) turned her into a Djinn in medieval France in the first place. For example, a man wishing that his employer would just shut up ends with the employer losing his mouth, a man wishing to be invisible gets hit by a truck when he discovers he's completely invisible, the man's brother wishing him back from the grave, has his rotting cadaver sent back to him, and when Mulder wishes for world peace, he becomes the only person on earth. Problem is, this Djinn has been wreaking havoc with wishes since she was transformed into a Djinn (including brief stays with powerful figures from history, all who fell thanks to their own wishes) and so knows all the wishes a man can ask for, and how to twist them with cruel ruthlessness. Thus, Mulder faces the seemingly impossible task of cheating the Djinn to grant him a wish that turns out exactly as he wants it.
