Jim Jackson is an American professional sportscaster. He currently serves as the TV play-by-play announcer for the Philadelphia Flyers. In addition, Jackson occasionally broadcasts play-by-play for hockey games on OLN.

Jackson, an upstate New York native, started his professional career broadcasting for the Utica Devils after graduating from Syracuse University. In 1993, he became play-by-play broadcaster for the Philadelphia Flyers, replacing Mike Emrick. He has been in this position for 11 seasons.

Due to the fact that Jackson basically filled the shoes of legendary Flyers broadcaster Gene Hart (Emrick only stayed for 5 years before taking the same job for the New Jersey Devils), Flyers fans have had mixed opinions on Jackson over the years, with most taking a neutral stance. Jackson's broadcasting style is neither flamboyant nor monotonous, but most would agree that his holding on to the position for eleven years speaks volumes of Jackson's abilities.

Jackson covers the Flyers on Comcast SportsNet and The CW Philly 57 with Steve Coates and Keith Jones, and covers other games on OLN.
