Jim Ward (body piercing pioneer)

Jim Ward is one of the co-creators of the modern body piercing movement. He started his shop, The Gauntlet, in West Hollywood in 1975, with funding provided by Doug Malloy, another early body piercing innovator. Other recognized pioneers in the field of body piercing are Fakir Musafar and Sailor Sid Diller, who is perhaps better known for tattooing.
