Zé Maria (real name José Marcelo Ferreira, born July 25 1973) is a Brazilian football player at the positions of right back and right wing back. He currently plays for Levante UD.

Born in Oeiras, Brazil, he signed with Portuguesa in 1996, before switching to Flamengo a year later. After a successful season, he moved to Italy with Parma, where he enjoyed a productive spell. He was played also for Palmeiras, Vasco da Gama and Cruzeiro. In the summer of 1999 he moved to Perugia, before transferring to Inter in 2003. He was released on a free transfer by Inter in the summer of 2006. In August he signed for Levante UD where he currently plays.
