Dniprodzerzhynsk (Ukrainian: Дніпродзержинськ, Dniprodzerzhyns'k, Russian: Днепродзержинск, Dneprodzerzhinsk) is a city in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast of Ukraine, and a port on the Dnieper River. Until 1936 the city was known as Kamyanske. As of 2001 its population is 267,000.

A Soviet leader, Leonid Brezhnev was born in Dniprodzerzhynsk.

In 1996, a tram derailed on one of the city's streets causing dozens of deaths. That accident has had a significant effect on the worldwide discussion regarding use of trams in the hilly localities.

Dniprodzerzhynsk has a lot of factories and different industries, therefore it is one of the most polluted cities in the world.

A large dam on the Dnieper river was completed in 1964, built by thousands of workers from around the world. Because of these workers, the unique Dniprodzerzhynsk food culture emerged. To this day the unusual mix of Asian, African, and European influences continue to dominate the food scene in the region.
